James McIntosh
Managing Director, Apprenticeship Delivery
James joined Cogent Skills in July 2024 to lead the Apprenticeship Delivery business. James has a proven track record in the apprenticeship and training sector, with a focus on Science, Process and Engineering provision in high hazard industries. He is very passionate about personal development, skills, competency, training and apprenticeships having worked in that sector for nearly 15 years.
James approach is around working collaboratively in partnership with employers to deliver a quality curriculum, with the learner experience being essential to being a successful programme for all.
James is also engaged around the green agenda, focusing on the skills and competencies required for our industry to meet net zero, primarily through Hydrogen and Carbon Capture & Storage. Prior to joining Cogent, James spent 7 years at CATCH as Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for creating the training and apprenticeship areas of the businesses.
