Head of Low Carbon Skills
As former Policy Lead for Green Skills at the UK Government’s Department for Education, Jude drove the department’s strategic green skills agenda, working across government to shape a comprehensive workforce action plan supporting the UK’s net zero and environmental targets.
In her current role as Head of Skills for Clean Growth at Cogent, Jude leads Cogent’s Clean Growth Strategy, partnering with government, employers and stakeholders to build the workforce needed for the UK’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
Jude is also the project lead for the Hydrogen Skills Alliance - a collaborative initiative uniting industry, education, and government to overcome skills barriers in the UK hydrogen sector.
Jude authored Empowering the Future – A Strategic Plan for the UK Hydrogen Economy for the Hydrogen Delivery Council, which informed the creation of the government-funded Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Skills Accelerator. Jude now leads this flagship programme, designed to rapidly develop workforce capabilities in hydrogen innovation and carbon capture technologies, driving progress toward a sustainable future.
