Jude Knight

Head of Low Carbon Skills

Jude has recently moved from the Department for Education to take up the role of Head of Cogent’s Low Carbon Strategy and drive forward the organisations green skills agenda by offering its partners greater support in meeting their skills needs for a low-carbon future. As a partner in the Hydrogen Skills Alliance (HSA), Jude works with employers and other stakeholders to build a skilled workforce for the development of the UK hydrogen sector as part of the UK’s shift to a low-carbon economy.
In her previous role as Policy Lead for Green Skills at the UK government’s Department for Education, Jude led the department’s strategic green skills policy work, including working across government to develop a comprehensive workforce action plan to help deliver the Government’s net zero and environmental targets, and support the transition to homegrown renewable energy.
