Membership and Events Manager
I’m the Membership and Events Manager on the Marketing team. And I think I have quite an eclectic background! I studied at Catering College and have a HnD in Hotel Management. After college I worked in academia organising Postgraduate courses and subsequently ran a research facility. After many years in academia I took up a Membership and Events Manager role within the Nuclear Industry. Whilst there I worked on a project to help create a not-for-profit skills organisation called “Cogent”.
I know this is a bit of a cliché, but Cogent’ s people make the place unique. I love being a part of something that makes a difference and I’m learning all the time, from the best people in the business. Working for a not-for-profit organisations makes the end of day feel more satisfying.
I am not good a sitting still so if I’m not at work you can find me with my family either in the gym, pool, cycling or out walking with my crazy dog. When I do sit down and relax, I love to binge watch TV series, so let me know of any good suggestions.
