Marta Csibra
Head of Business Development, EET Hydrogen and Power
Marta is Head of Business Development (Hydrogen & Power) for Essar Energy Transition (EET). EET owns and operates the Stanlow Refinery in the North West of England, and is developing multiple low-carbon projects to support both the refinery’s decarbonisation and wider decarbonisation of the HyNet Industrial Cluster. Marta has been closely involved in the development of HPP1 and HPP2; EET’s first two large-scale hydrogen production projects. HPP1 will be the largest UK hydrogen production plant when it commences operation and together with the new hydrogen-ready CHP will employ >100 FTEs in the nascent hydrogen sector. She will represent the interests of Hydrogen UK, the leading hydrogen trade association. Marta began her career in the oil & gas industry working for BG Group as a Deal Structurer and Commercial Manager, before transitioning into the low carbon energy sector through more than five years spent as a strategy consultant with Ernst & Young. As a Director in EY-Parthenon’s Energy Transition practice, she advised major European energy companies on the development and execution of their portfolio strategies. Marta holds a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
