Apprentice Accounts Technician – Hosokawa Micron Ltd

Main Description

Excellent opportunity to support Accounting and Finance Operations and get a head start in a career in Finance and Accounting whilst obtaining a valuable professional qualification in the AAT.

Role will provide an opportunity to understand how Accounting and Finance teams work together and are supported.

  • 5 GCSE’s at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) including mathematics and English,

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Daily Journal processing
  • Sales Invoicing processing
  • Purchase Invoice processing
  • Posting bank transactions
  • Matching payments
  • Downloading weekly time reports
  • Monthly journal posting
  • Ledger reconciliations
  • Downloading ad-hoc monthly reports
  • Ad-hoc financial admin 
  • Providing support and assistance to other departments as required

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Skills:

  • Training for a minimum Level 3 AAT qualification
  • Ability to follow procedures/guidelines to a high standard.
  • Proficient in digital skills and understand Microsoft one package
  • Good communication skills – ability to liaise with all levels of people.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Self-confident – able to rely on their own judgement.
  • Self-motivated- Proactive target driven individual
  • Able to work well and co-operate with others in a team.
  • Attention to detail

Apprenticeship Standard: Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship (AAT)

Training Provider: The Apprenticeship Academy Ltd

Qualification: AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

This role is part of our talent planning for the future, and for the right person we are looking to continue to develop the apprentice upon successful completion of the apprenticeship achieve level 6 qualification in a procurement field.
