ROLE SUMMARY
What can you expect from this role?
Data Sciences is responsible for developing industry-leading data access and knowledge management infrastructure for the Pharmaceutical Sciences division in Pfizer. The Data Sciences business line brings CMC digital and data methodologies together with industry best practice to actively support the registration of new small molecule programs treating a wide range of therapies.
Our remit covers both the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs – also known as Drug Substance (DS)) for large scale manufacturing and the development of formulated Drug Products carefully designed with the needs of the patient in mind. Our drug programs are many years in the making and the amount of data we accumulate is vast. As programs progress through small scale Development, Tech Transfer and scale up to commercial, the Data Sciences team actively supports programs with digital tools and best practices to support. Pfizer’s Digital transformation is well underway, and we recognise the importance of Data Science in structuring this data, making connections between data streams, contextualising data, and making insights only possible with ‘big data’. Our team has a diverse skill set to help us achieve our goals, including colleagues with a deep understanding of drug development and industry best practice, data systems and solutions as well as formidable experience in the design and development of new digital solutions to support the science of drug development. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Skills required
