The Level 2 Science Manufacturing Process Operative Apprenticeship is delivered through a structured and flexible model designed to support early-stage operational roles.

Delivery Model

  • 20 structured lessons delivered over 8 months
  • ½ day per week online knowledge delivery
  • Workplace-based assessment and competency development
  • Repeat knowledge sessions to support operational understanding
  • Ongoing review and support throughout the programme

Apprentices apply their learning directly in the workplace, building confidence and competence while supporting day-to-day production activities. Progress reviews ensure development aligns with operational requirements.

Science Manufacturing Process Operative Level 2 is funded through the UK Apprenticeship Levy.

Levy-Paying Employers

Apprenticeship training can be funded through your Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) account.

Levy funds can be used to train both new recruits and existing employees.

In most cases, if you have sufficient levy funds available, the training costs will be fully covered.

Non-Levy Employers

Apprenticeship training is largely funded by the government.

Most employers pay only a small contribution towards the cost, and in some cases, training may be fully funded depending on eligibility.
