The Level 4 Process Leader Apprenticeship is delivered through a blended model combining online knowledge delivery, workplace assessment, and practical leadership application.

Delivery Model

  • Full day online knowledge delivery once a month (or in-workplace for larger cohorts)
  • Workplace-based assessment and competency review
  • Repeat knowledge sessions addressing operational and management complexities
  • Modular knowledge delivery available for commercial learners
  • Ongoing review and support throughout the programme

Apprentices apply learning immediately in their leadership role, developing management competence while ensuring operational performance. Progress reviews ensure development aligns with business needs and leadership responsibilities.

Knowledge Modules

Typically 14 months, depending on prior experience and employer requirements.

By the end of the programme, apprentices are fully equipped to lead teams, manage production operations, and drive continuous improvement in process-driven environments.

Process Leader Level 4 is funded through the UK Apprenticeship Levy.

Levy-Paying Employers

Apprenticeship training can be funded through your Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) account.

Levy funds can be used to train both new recruits and existing employees.

In most cases, if you have sufficient levy funds available, the training costs will be fully covered.

Non-Levy Employers

Apprenticeship training is largely funded by the government.

Most employers pay only a small contribution towards the cost, and in some cases, training may be fully funded depending on eligibility.

Funding covers all training and assessment costs.
