2 Day Course
Hazard Management Foundations 2 DAY course will cover the identification, evaluation and prevention of accidents and incidents, as a direct result of failures in equipment, processes and procedures. All employees working in high hazard industries need to understand the safety, health and environmental hazards associated with their working environment.
This 2-day course will provide the fundamental knowledge and understanding of the principles of hazard management across the entire organisation.

Group SHE Manager
The course is designed for managers, supervisors, designers, safety personnel, and senior contract employees working within engineering, construction and supply chain. It is suitable for young engineers and anyone who would like to develop a more detailed understanding of process safety management.
How is it delivered?
The training can be delivered on-site to groups of up to 12 delegates. For individuals or smaller groups we run open courses across the UK. All delegates are registered for an on-line self-assessment designed to reinforce their knowledge and understanding of process safety management and will be given exclusive access to a suite of video case studies designed to reinforce the learning for up to three years.
The course is delivered by highly experienced Cogent assured trainers. A combination of presentations, case studies and group discussions are used to illustrate interpretations of hazard management requirements and demonstrate ways to develop and monitor an effective hazard management programme.

What will I learn?
On completing the course participants will understand:

> How to identify hazards and assess the risks associated with hazardous substances and plant
> The need for effective measures to limit the consequences of a major accident and costly shutdowns
> The importance of identifying suitable safety critical equipment, implementing key risk control systems and the importance of sustaining their effectiveness
> How to apply learning from near misses
> How to monitor performance to achieve continual improvement in process safety performance
