It provides participants with the tools to develop a detailed understanding of the business case for effective process safety management.
The Process Safety Leadership course provided an excellent platform to engage with our Senior Leadership Team and develop common understanding of the subject. As a result of this engagement we have produced a set of short and medium term Process Safety improvement initiatives for our Teesside Site facilities.

About the Course
Meeting the standards set by industry, regulators and the PSCMPB this course is designed to leave leaders with the understanding of how to implement Process Safety culture change within their organisations, reducing risk & shutdowns and supporting business performance improvements.
Leaders and Managers report that they are much more able to make informed business decisions about assets, processes, staffing and resourcing based on their increased understanding Process Safety principals.
The Competent Authority Delivery Guide “Understanding COMAH: The Performance and Recognition Framework” identify the Cogent Skills Process Safety Management courses as examples of good practice in addressing the PSL Principles of Process Safety Leadership. Adoption of these courses may support COMAH Operators in the reduction in scope or depth of inspection.
Course Duration – 1 Day
How is it delivered?
The training can be delivered on-site to groups of up to 10 delegates. Included with the in-house course is a review day which will take place within six months of the training. For individuals or smaller groups we run open courses across the UK.
Highly experienced Cogent Skills assured training providers, using case studies and group discussions to actively engage all participants, deliver the course. All delegates will be given exclusive access to a suite of video case studies designed to reinforce the learning for up to three years.
