This is an excellent opportunity to work at a global oil and gas exploration and production company in a varied and interesting role, with fantastic development opportunities.

Qualification Requirements
Must have completed the first year of a finance degree.

Salary – £24,500 per annum

The salary for this position will be reviewed prior to the start date

Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 4pm

Teesside Operations

The ConocoPhillips Norsea Terminal, located in Teesside at the mouth of the river Tees, is a crude oil reception, processing, storage, and trans-shipment installation. The terminal also fractionates natural gas liquids into ethane, propane, and butane. 

The terminal’s success is built on its high performing workforce and can provide opportunities throughout your career to progress and continually develop. With ongoing production from Ekofisk and Eldfisk, other redeveloped fields and new exploration projects in the works, the future looks bright as we prepare for a lifetime to 2050.

Job Responsibilities

  • Comply with UK Legislative, Regulatory and Company Safety requirements.
  • Recognise COMAH regulations and Process Safety implications
  • Participate in incident investigations as required
  • Responsible for maintaining relevant documentation to reflect current National/International and Corporate/Business Unit standards and develop fit for purpose Teesside standards
  • Take accountability to remain compliant in your role by completing any required training in a timely manner

Financial Management and Business Support

Support month-end process including cost analysis, journal entries, account reconciliations and monthly reporting

  • Act as cover for the Accounts Payable Assistant with purchase invoice processing
  • Compile data for submission of Office for National Statistics forms
  • Create sundry sales invoices, e.g., S&T ships crew transport vehicle (Jetty buses)
  • Support annual budget process, including data analysis, collection, and presentation
  • Assist with year-end closing, annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts
