Process engineer integrated degree apprenticeship consultation

We are seeking feedback on the draft Process Engineer occupational standard.

This is a substantial revision to the Science Industry Process and Plant Engineer (SIPPE)  degree apprenticeship (ST0473).

You can access the survey here. The deadline for responses is 7 May.

Along with the proposed new name, the revision includes:

  • the addition of typical duties
  • substantial updates to the knowledge, skills and behaviours
  • integration of the end-point assessment

The revised apprenticeship is designed to be suitable for a range of process engineering roles including biochemical engineer, chemical engineer and systems engineer.

The revision group is co-chaired by Matthew Lincoln, CF Fertilizers and Jonathan Yates, Southern Water, and it includes representation from various employers, universities, and professional bodies. Cogent Skills is providing facilitation support.
