Management of Change
Overview
Effective Management of Change is a cornerstone of process safety in high-hazard industries. Poorly controlled change remains one of the most common root causes of major incidents. This one-day course provides participants with a structured understanding of how to apply a robust Management of Change process to maintain safety, integrity, and compliance when introducing technical, organisational, or procedural changes.
Aligned with the latest IChemE guidance on Management of Change, this course supports organisations in meeting the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) requirements. Delegates will explore the legal and regulatory expectations for managing change and learn practical strategies for ensuring that changes are assessed, reviewed, approved, and implemented safely.
Through real-world examples and interactive discussions, participants will gain the knowledge and tools needed to strengthen their site’s Management of Change process, prevent unintended risks, and ensure ongoing compliance with HSE, Environment Agency, and other regulatory frameworks.
