Cogent Skills Approved by the Joint Council for Qualifications on Behalf of Pearsons for Examination Administration.

The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) is a membership organisation comprising of the eight largest providers of qualifications in the UK, including Pearsons. Following number of checks and visits from the JCQ inspector Cogent Skills Apprenticeship & Delivery team have now successfully gained academic centre recognition to conduct Pearson examinations. The JCQ Centre Inspection Service operates on behalf of Awarding Bodies. It safeguards the integrity of the examination system by ensuring JCQ regulations are adhered to and that examinations are administered fairly to all students.

We asked Tracy Rowley, Cogent Skills Quality Compliance Manager her thoughts on the approval:

Personal thanks to key members of the team, Jane and Haroon for going the extra mile. The feedback we received was fantastic and included robust quality and invigilation procedures, secure storage and venue accommodation.

 

This recognition clearly demonstrates the investment, commitment and training undertaken by the Apprenticeship and Management team in preparation for the pre-registration visit of the JCQ Centre Inspector back in November.

As a training provider, this means we can promote and conduct the examination process for learners on a suite of BTEC Level 3 Qualifications at our Warrington office.
