Moving beyond a one-size-fits-all approach, we’re introducing a modular, flexible and more tailored training model. We’ve identified the modules Ambassadors value most and put these at the heart of the core programme, ensuring consistency, quality and confidence across the industry.
Alongside this, we’re introducing a menu of optional modules, allowing companies to tailor training to their specific outreach priorities. The advantages of this new approach will be:
- Consistent quality – all Ambassadors complete a strong core foundation in effective outreach, session planning, safeguarding and using the NJLC website.
- Better return on investment – employers can choose the modules which matter most to their organisation, meaning no unnecessary content.
- Greater capability and confidence – ambassadors can build expertise in specific audiences, activities and themes, which will strengthen individual performance and outreach impact.
Because more than 99 per cent of participants would recommend the course to other Ambassadors, it’s clear we’re getting the fundamentals right – so these changes are simply building on that success.
New optional modules include:
- Working with Different Age Groups — From KS2 to university
- Effective Careers Fairs — Maximising engagement and impact
- Why EDI Matters in Outreach — Inclusion in practice and tackling unconscious bias
- Digital Skills — Human + digital capabilities and emerging technologies
