All Cogent Skills learners are able to access online and telephone support through Health Assured

Health Assured is the UK’s largest employee assist programme and provides compassionate care and support to over ten million lives across thousands of organisations.

Cogent Skills employees (both internal and outsourced) have been provided access to health assured for a number of years, but in 2020 we extended access to all Cogent Skills apprentice learners!

Services Available

• Life Support: Unlimited access to counselling for emotional problems and a pathway to structured telephone counselling or face-to-face counselling sessions (learners only) at your convenience.

• Legal information: For any issues that cause anxiety or distress including debt management, accountancy, lawsuits, consumer disputes, property or neighbour legalities.

• Bereavement Assistance: Health Assured offers qualified and experienced counsellors who can help with grief and related stress plus a team of legal advisors to help with legal issues.

• Medical information: Qualified nurses are on hand to offer advice on a range of medical or health related issues. They can’t diagnose but can offer a sympathetic ear and practical information and advice.

• CBT Online: We recognise the value of self-help tools in dealing with a range of issues, which is why we have a range of CBT self-help modules, informative factsheets and invaluable advice videos from leading qualified counsellors.

We are really proud to be providing this additional wellbeing support to all employees and learners. While we pride ourselves on providing support directly via our experienced managers and tutors, being able ensure that support is available 24 hours a day seven days a week is fantastic.

This programme is great for anyone who might be worried about talking directly to a manager, colleague or tutor as everything is totally confidential and anonymous and the concern doesn’t need to be work related, it could be money worries or advice on a relationship . This new service can be the difference between someone reaching out for help, or not getting the support they need.
