FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies is a leading contract development and manufacturing organisation. I have been recently seconded to the Engineering maintenance manager role for FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies. I have been in Engineering for 40 Years and served as an Instrumentation apprentice for the Central Electricity Generating Board.
I have been working here at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies for 18 years. We provide the development and manufacturing of biologics, vaccines and advanced therapies.
We at Fujifilm we have been recruiting apprentices for approximately 10 years in a variety of fields in Engineering, Manufacturing and Process Development . We feel recruiting apprentices ensures the continued growth of our departments and adds to the overall success of the Business.
Having the apprentices onboard has been a personal goal of mine as I know the importance of continuing the skills passed down from experienced engineering staff to the apprentices.
The apprentices have made a valued contribution to our departments to ensure we will have the strength and knowledge needed for the further growth of our company.
All of the apprentices we have had on site have been credits to the training centres and colleges they have come from and have fitted in to our workforce seamlessly.
I would recommend recruiting an apprentice to a manufacturing company as I know that this leads to great strength in all of our departments and is securing our companies future.

The added value in having an apprentice in the work force is to keep the workforce strong and positive. This will then allow for continued growth and success in the future.
The majority of our apprentices have been recruited from local colleges and training centres and these have been proved to be a reliable route into our business.
