Our industry experts have designed the course in line with HSE guidelines to provide interactive and thought-provoking content that challenges and enhances the competence of permit writers and issuers. This course equips them with the necessary skills and expertise to excel in their roles and to be able to draft and authorise permits under competent supervision.Â
Bespoke Option
This standard course can be customised to include the organisation’s Permit to Work, Risk Assessment, and Health and Safety policy.
1 day
This course is designed for individuals involved in the permit-to-work process, including Permit Originators, Writers, Issuers, Area Authorities, Performing Authorities, Permit Users, and others who require awareness.Â
Upon completion of this course, learners will be capable of drafting Permit to Work certificates across various contexts and Authorising Permits under competent supervision.Â
By working together with our learners’ managers, we can enhance their learning experience by enabling them to write and approve permits while being supervised, for the processes they have gained adequate knowledge about. It is advisable to establish internal benchmarks within which the candidates will be evaluated for their competency.
Permit Writers and Permit Issuers must have a comprehensive understanding of the procedures for which they will be issuing permits, the associated hazards, and the suitable controls. They also need to be knowledgeable in risk assessment techniques. Familiarity with the following organisational policies is essential to guarantee compliance and safety:Â Â

Open Course: £325 per person (minimum of 5 delegates)Â

Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be required to take an online assessment to obtain their certification. The link to access the assessment will be provided four weeks after the course date, and candidates will have a three-week window from the date of issuance to complete the assessment.Â
